Write for us

We welcome pitches that help readers make a more informed theatre visit: explain a convention, compare two formats, clarify a venue choice or offer a grounded plan for a particular kind of outing.

What makes a good pitch

Propose one distinct question and say what a reader will understand or be able to decide after reading. Show the central idea, the examples or source material you would use, and why the subject works beyond one venue or one performance. We favour clear, useful pieces that name trade-offs and do not present a personal preference as a rule.

What to leave out

We are not looking for promotional copy, unverified claims, disguised reviews or advice that depends on a venue's current arrangements without pointing readers to check those arrangements. Do not send confidential material or assume a pitch is accepted before we reply.

How to propose it

Send your proposal through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Include a working title, a short summary and any relevant links or source details in your message. Please send a proposal rather than a finished article unless we have agreed otherwise.

Our point of view

A theatre visit is yours to read

A familiar convention can help, but it is not a requirement for belonging. We explain what choices mean, and leave room for different ways of enjoying a show.
